How to Create Microsoft Power Apps 30 days Online Trial Version and an Environment?

Power Apps is a suite of apps, services, and connectors, as well as a data platform, that provides a rapid development environment to build custom apps for your business needs. Using Power Apps, you can quickly build custom business apps that connect to your data stored either in the underlying data platform (Microsoft Dataverse) or in various online and on-premises data sources (such as SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, SQL Server, and so on).

Follow the below Steps to create Microsoft Power Apps 30 days Trial Version and an Environment to create Power Apps.

Pre-Requisite: Click on the below link and create a Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome Profile and go to the below Steps.

Step 1: Copy and Paste the below link in the new browser profile Tab to navigate to Microsoft Power Apps Home Page.

Step 2: Provide your School or Work Email or Personal Email address.

For this article, I had provided Personal Email Address.

Step 3: As, I had Provided the Personal Email Address, Power Apps is asking to provide the work account Email Address.

To continue with our Personal Email address, click on the steps link as shown in the below image.

Step 4: Email address will be populated automatically as per the previous step.

Click on Next to continue or Click on Change my email.

Step 5: Click on Set up account.

Step 6: Provide all the Mandatory details and Click on Next.

Step 7: Provide your Phone number and Click on Send verification code.

Step 8: Enter the verification code received on your Phone and Click on Verify.

Step 9: Once the code is verified successfully, provide some Unique Domain name and Click on Save.

Note: If the Domain name is not available, it will show an error to provide some other Domain name. Enter some unique name and continue.

Step 10: Enter your Password and Confirm password and click on Next.

Account creation is in progress and do not refresh the page.

Step 11: Account has been created successfully and Click on Start using Power Apps per user plan Trial.

Note: Click on Save or print to save the username for logging into Power Apps.

Step 12: Click on the right account to continue.

Power Apps Maker Portal will be launched.

Step 13: Click on a New browser Tab, Copy and Paste the below URL to open Power Platform admin center.

Step 14: Click on Get Started to start the tour or Click on X to close the Tour Pop up.

Step 15: Click on Environments to see the Microsoft (default) environment.

Step 16: Click on New to create a New environment.

Step 17: Provide the below details and click on Next.

3RegionSelect your nearest Region for quicker access of the Environment.
4PurposeProvide the Purpose of the Environment.

Step 18: Provide the below required details and Click on Save.

2URLClick on here and enter your organization environment name. Organization URLs must be unique. If your organization name has already been reserved in the destination datacenter, it won’t be available.  
3CurrencyThe base currency used for reporting.  
4Enable Dynamics 365 appsSelect Yes and make a selection to automatically deploy apps such as Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Customer Service. If you don’t select Yes at the time of database provisioning, you won’t be able to make this change later nor be able to install Dynamics 365 apps on this environment.
5Deploy sample apps and dataSelect Yes to include sample apps and data. Sample data gives you something to experiment with as you learn. You must select No for Enable Dynamics 365 apps for this setting to appear.
6Security groupSelect a security group to restrict access to this environment.
You can select None, if there is no Security group available.

Environment is getting created and State of the Environment can be seen as Preparing.

Step 19: Click on Refresh to check the status of the Environment.

Environment State is changed to Ready, and you can start using it.

Step 20: Click on a New browser Tab, Copy and Paste the below URL to open Power Apps Maker Portal.

Step 21: Select Country/region, Provide Phone number and Click on Submit.

Step 22: Click on Next to see the Tour or Click on Skip.

Step 23: Click on Environment and Click on the required Environment to start creating your Apps.

Step 24: Click on anyone of the below Apps (Blank app, Dataverse, SharePoint,…) to start creating your app.
