How to get the Session details in Dynamics 365 CRM Online?

In order to report any issue related to Product, we need to share Issue description, Repro Steps and Session details (Session ID) information to the Product Group Support team, for troubleshooting the issue.

In this article, will see how to get the Session details in Power Apps Maker Portal, Model-Driven Apps and Canvas Apps.

Power Apps Maker Portal:

Follow the below steps to get the Session ID details in Power Apps Maker Portal.

Step 1: Login to Power Apps Maker Portal with a valid credentials.

Step 2: Choose the required Environment.

Step 3: Click on Gear icon to open Settings and Click on Session details.

Step 4: You can see the Power Apps session details pop up with all the details like

Timestamp, Session ID, Tenant ID, Object ID, Build name, Resource ID, Unique name, Instance url and Enviroment ID.

Click on Copy details button to copy the entire information to the clipboard and share this information to the Product Group Support Team.

Or

You can share the Session ID details alone for troubleshooting the product issue.


Model-Driven Apps:

If you have any product issue related to Model-Driven Apps running in a browser, then follow the below steps to get the Session ID.

Step 1: Open your Model-Driven App and repro the product issue.

Step 2: Click on the Gear icon in your Model-Driven App.

Step 3: Click on About.

Step 4: Copy the Session ID and share the details to the PG Support Team for troubleshooting the product issue related to Model-Driven App.


Canvas Apps:

Follow the below steps for getting the Session ID in Canvas Apps.

Step 1: Open the required Canvas App and Click on File.

Step 2: Click on Settings.

Step 3: Click on Support.

Step 4: Copy the Session ID and share this information to PG Support Team for troubleshooting your Canvas Apps product related issue.

Note: Session ID details will be changed on each and every browser refresh.
